Nikon Prostaff 3s 8×42 Best Binoculars for Hunting

$155.00 $116.00

First thing that will strike when u use Nikon Prostaff 3s 8×42 is its lightweight (551 gms only). Next is its sharp focus. Bright images. Mind you, u should know how to use this. Closing right eye then focusing on something, then closing left eye and focusing on the same object with right eye using the diopter ring, which is by the way, very tight. Once focusing is done u r good and ready. These binos are for daytime use. During twilight and dawn image is not so clear. I have Nikon Prostaff 3s 10×42 also, so comparing both I feel 10×42 is better in capturing details. But remember both have fov above 7 degrees which is rare these days. Pros for this thing is its lightweight and superb quality. It is built like a tank but still lightweight. No other bino at this price range comes close to this.

2.Great set of binocular for the price!

These binos are excellent for the price point. Clear, light, and easy to use. The only downside is the material for the binos gets dirty easily. I work in the field and dust from construction sites get the binos dirty easy.

Overall, these are excellent binos for bird watcher construction personnel Get Link

3.Excellent value, bright optics, compact size, and good for eyeglass wearers

Extremely happy with these Nikon binoculars! Took them on a month-long trip to Alaska and used them almost every day. Very bright and clear optics, with a good field of view for their size and magnification. Also, as an eyeglass wearer, I can report that they work find when wearing prescription glasses due to their adjustable eyecups that allow the user to easily change the eye relief to suit his/her glasses setup. 2

When looking at binoc specs, the first number (10) is the magnification, while the second number is the field of view (oversimplified, but generally speaking, the larger the number, the wider field of view you have). We bought these to supplement a pair of Pentax 8x binocs and other Nikon 16x binocs. These Nikons are fairly compact while delivering great optics. They easily fit in the front pocket of my camera bag, making for a nice grab-and-go setup for an active trip. I never thought twice about bringing them along, as they are light and small. With three binoculars along for the trip, these Nikons were the ones everyone wanted to use. I’ll probably be buying another set shortly. Get Link

3.Outstanding image for price

This is my first pair of binoculars for birding, and I chose them based on a list published by the National Audubon Society; these were the highest rated bins in the “get in the game” category. Nature DX 8x42mm Binocular
First off, they don’t feel too heavy in the hand, and they have a nice rubber coating all around which make them really comfortable to hold. However, the included neck strap isn’t so great since the edges are kinda scratchy.
The image quality is excellent, especially for the price. At 8x magnification, you’re obviously not going to get a great image when looking at a kite from 100 yards away, but anything reasonably close looks amazing. The color is true, and the field of view is pretty wide. And here’s something that really sets these apart from a less expensive model also by Celestron that I bought for my son: these are really, really good at close focus. I’m able to view objects (and birds like common paraques that often sleep near trails) at just 5 feet away. I can see every detail in a paraque’s plumage, for example, that I simply cannot achieve with the less expensive model.
The “eye relief” afforded by this model is good, too, and the twist telescopic eye cup feels nice and sturdy, another major difference between this and the cheaper model. Get Link
