These are my 10 favorites booster seats

I love this car seat and all of the quality and safety features it has. It’s comfortable and fits in my car great! Love the cup holders and how tall it can get.

The only thing I wish it would have had was a tutorial on how to install that was simple. ALL of the videos I saw talked about how good it was and did very little on explaining how to install it. The videos made me think everyone knew how to install already… Even the instructions that it came with were vague. I mean if you go to all the trouble designing a product that is safe BECAUSE you can install it correctly easily…don’t you think you would make a simple quick video on how to install that everyone can understand. Explain how you can adjust the straps better! Explain that you have to pull back come of the padding to get to the clicktight switch so you can buckle the car seat using the seat belt. Love the product but wish the company made videos that were WAY better at explaining how to install.

Booster seats are a great transition between a convertible car seat and going to a full-grown seatbelt, which is generally between the ages of 8 to 12 or 4 feet 9 inches, according to the AAP. It is very important to read all manufacturer’s instructions and weight requirements before using a booster seat. Convertible seats provide more protection so they are safe to keep your children in them until they max out on height or weight.

  1. Best Overall

If you’re looking for a safe, comfortable ride for your little one, the Graco Affix Youth Booster Seat gets two thumbs way up from kids and parents alike. Long trip ahead? The cup holder and built-in storage compartment are perfect for sippy cups and toys. The adjustable back makes it easy to find the perfect fit and if you have a big kid in tow, they’ll feel independent with the self-buckle option.

This seat is a piece of cake to install (parents, you can exhale). The unique one-hand, front-adjust latch system that makes it easy, and the seat belt guides ensure your child is secured properly.

The Graco Affix Youth Booster Seat is for kids between 30 and 100 pounds and from 38 to 57 inches tall. It grows with your child and can convert to a backless booster once they’re between 40 and 100 pounds and 40 to 57 inches tall.

     2. Best Backless

If your child has outgrown a high-back booster, you might want to invest in a backless model, such as the Graco Backless TurboBooster Car Seat, which gets top marks from happy parents. This affordable backless model fits children 40 to 100 pounds and 43 to 57 inches tall, and it has a variety of features to ensure your kids are as comfortable (and safe) as can be.

This backless booster helps position the seatbelt across your child’s lap, and it features comfortable deluxe seat cushions and padded, adjustable armrests. There are two hideaway cup holders, and the seat cushion can be removed and tossed into the washing machine. Many reviewers say this booster is easy to install, and their kids say it’s comfortable to ride in. Plus, it comes at a low price that makes it the perfect backup booster seat to have around your home.

     3. Best Budget

The Cosco Topside Booster Car Seat is an affordable backless option for older children. This belt-positioning booster can be used for children 40 to 100 pounds and 43 to 57 inches tall, and its extra-plush pad makes it comfortable for little ones to sit on in the car.

This backless booster is easy to install and move from car to car, and it’s specially designed not to leave marks on a vehicle’s seats—always a good thing if you’re renting a car. It’s compact enough to fit three across in the backseat of most vehicles, and reviewers say it’s great for traveling since it’s lightweight and compact.

   4.Best For Long Rides

For a versatile, highly rated booster seat, you can’t go wrong with the Evenflo Maestro Sport Harness Booster. This seat functions as both a forward-facing harness and belt-positioning booster so you can use it for longer. It’s comfortable for kids and easy to care for, making it great for long car rides.

The Maestro can be used as a harnessed booster for children 28 to 50 inches tall and up to 50 pounds and as a belt-positioning seat when kids are 44 to 57 inches tall and up to 110 pounds. The five-point harness keeps your children snuggly in place as you drive, and the front-access harness adjuster makes it easy to get a proper fit. The seat has two built-in cup holders, as well as a washable seat pad.

   5.Best Convertible

Instead of purchasing two separate seats, you can invest in a convertible car seat like the Britax Frontier ClickTight Harness-2-Booster when. This booster seat converts from a front-facing harness to a high-back booster so it can grow with your child as they move from a car seat to a booster seat.

This car seat can be used as a forward-facing harness for children 25 to 90 pounds and 30 to 58 inches tall. Once they exceed these limits, you can then convert the seat into a high-back booster seat, which is suitable for children 40 to 120 pounds and 45 to 62 inches tall. The seat has two layers of side protection, as well as a nine-position harness and two-position buckle. There’s a multi-position reclining option, integrated cup holders, and color-coded seat belt paths to help with installation.
